Is Twitter Hurting Health Information?

This week, Theresa Flaherty of HMENews.com wrote an article featuring TheCPAPPeople.com that speaks to Twitter and our involvement with the CPAP community.  Last week, we held a live Twitter Q&A to support product knowledge and therapy options.

The article raises a good question.  We have seen a lot of information on Twitter about sleep apnea cures, no more CPAP, snore no more, even neck muscle exercises, etc.

"We've seen everything out there," said Jodie Cocke, COO of TheCPAPPeople.com, which in January planned a live Q&A for CPAP users. "There are new procedures and new drugs that are claiming to take care of this or that. A lot of the theories are great, but it's highly unlikely that there is anything right around the corner."

The bottom line is easy... CPAP therapy is the trusted way to go right now.  If something comes along that is better, we will be the first to shout it from the rooftops.  A lot of things have come and gone, but CPAP has been around for decades.
