Time to change the clocks and your CPAP machine filters

Tonight is the night, folks.  At 2am Sunday morning we switch from daylight saving time to standard time.  This means one hour backwards.  While you remember to check your smoke detector battery, we wanted to remind you that is also a good time to check your CPAP supplies.  Do you need new filters?  New tubing?  Maybe even a new mask?

Normal replacement schedule follows:

  • CPAP Machine - As needed.  Most warrantys expire after 2-3 years.
  • CPAP Mask - Medicare guidelines suggest 90 days.  We all know they can last longer than that.  However, how are your cushions and gels looking?  Tears in cushions, discoloration, or flimsyness can cause therapy issues.
  • CPAP Machine Filters - Foam filters will last about 90 days, with monthly washing.  Paper filters, or white ultrafine filers, should be replaced every 30 days.
  • CPAP Tubing - Unless you notice breakage or wear and tear, tubing has a 6 month lifespan.

Yes, you can use your FSA debit cards with us!  All CPAP products on our website qualify.  Don't let your savings expire on December 31st.
